Northwest-Shoals Community College has two library locations; the James A. Glasgow
Library on the Phil Campbell Campus and the Larry W. McCoy Learning Resources Center on
the Shoals Campus.
The combined collections exceed 59,000 volumes to support the various instructional programs. Of special note, the College has the April Hargett Collection of children and juvenile books. The centers also offers a collection
of audiovisual material and access to approximately 200 periodicals.
Individuals may check out most materials for two-week periods. Overdue fines are assessed for late returns. Telephone renewals may be made by calling 256.331.6271 (Phil Campbell Campus) or 256.331.5283 (Shoals Campus)

|On-line Library Catalog||The on-line catalog permits access to the book holdings of the Northwest-Shoals libraries as well as the regional holdings of 16 library systems at more than 29 locations in North Alabama. The system uses the Library Management Network (LMN). Individuals may reach the LMN Catalog via the Internet at web2.lmn.lib.al.us.|
|Interlibrary Loan||As a member of the Library Management Network, Northwest-Shoals provides individuals with access to more than 1 million books and periodicals.|
|Internet Access||Access to the World Wide Web via the Internet is provided at both locations of the Northwest-Shoals library.|
|Alabama Vitual Library||The Alabama Virtual Library www.avl.lib.al.us provides a variety of periodical indexes and resources for on-line users. Among the databases available include EBSCO Host, Electric Library, PROQUEST, SIRS, Gale Literary databases, and Encyclopedia Britannica.|
